Welcome to The Gifted Gab, a production of the Woodbridge Township Gifted Child PTO. On the sidebar there are a list of handy links including a Calendar of Events and a list of the teachers and staff in the program. PEG and Delayed Openings

To ensure the safety and well being of your child, PEG students will not be transported to Avenel Middle School in the event of a delayed opening. If both Wednesday and Thursday classes do not meet, every effort will be made to get your child's packet to the home base school for distribution by your child's classroom teacher.

Two G&T Students Honored by Mayor

On January 29th, Mayor John E. McCormac, the Municipal Council, the Woodbridge Township School Board and the School District Administration recognized the winners of the annual essay contest honoring the work and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Sixteen winning essays were chosen - one from each elementary school in the district. Two of the winners are G&T students. Rohan Marwaha from School #26 who is a student in Mrs. Schanck's Enrichment Class and Jordan Vazquez from School #22, a student in Mr. Uribe's Theatre Arts Class. Both are third graders.

An Education Resource

Just because a child is gifted doesn't mean he or she couldn't use a little help memorizing those time tables. Timez Attack is a great resource for that, it was created by people who make Play Station games so it has the look and feel of a real video game - and there is a downloadable version for free.

Gifted, Talented and Neglected

The Edge of the Forest

The students in Mrs. Schanck's and Mrs. Staab's PEG classes were interviewed about what they enjoy reading for a feature called Kid Picks in the online magazine about children's literature, The Edge of the Forest.

It's not surprising that these children do a lot of reading, and it's also not surprising that Harry Potter was the series most commonly mentioned.
