Welcome to The Gifted Gab, a production of the Woodbridge Township Gifted Child PTO. On the sidebar there are a list of handy links including a Calendar of Events and a list of the teachers and staff in the program. Throughout the year we hope that these pages will be continually updated with information about the program by both teachers and parents.

Will You Buy What They're Selling?

The 4th- and 5th-grade Enrichment classes, taught by Mrs. Staab, are learning about advertising. They are learning what things advertisers use to try to convince us that we need something: it will make us more popular, healthier, richer, happier. They will create their own advertising campaign for a brand new cereal - one of their own creation. These things will all make them more discerning consumers - and perhaps more convincing when trying to peddle a holiday wish list.

Budding Egyptologists

The K-3 Enrichment classes, taught by Mrs. Schanck, are studying Ancient Egypt. They've learned to write their names in hieroglyphics and learned to write numerals in ancient Egyptian. They've built pyramids and are now experimenting with mummification. Will the apples pieces treated with preserving salt and wrapped up hold up better than the apple pieces left on the windowsill? Only time will tell.

Open House a Success

The Open House last night was a success, many parents came and had the opportunity to meet with their child's teacher. The elementary teachers as well as the arts teachers were present.

Many people bought the G&T t-shirts that are decorated with designs by our very own G&T students.

Jannine Hinterstein, the G&T PTO treasurer, presented the budget for the 2007/2008 school yer and it was passed by a unanimous vote.
